Introduction to Macro Toolbar in DraftSight
Where is it?
Right click on Toolbars section and Go to Macro > Select Macro.
It will Show Macro Toolbar in DraftSight.
In ‘Classic’ Workspace go to Tools Menu > Macro
In ‘Drafting and Annotation’ workspace :
Macro Toolbar will consist of two tabs : Record and Stop.
How it works ?
Click on Record Macro. Or Run Command RECORDMACRO
In Command line it will show : Started recording.
Sample case – Draw a line in DraftSight.
Click on Stop Macro tab or Run Command: STOPMACRO.
‘Save macro’ dialog box will pop up to save this macro. Also You can change file type to following options.
We can also change Macro Recording System Options from Tools menu > Options > System Options in DraftSight.
Macro Recording System Options :
In System Options > ‘Macro Recording’ > Expand and check following sections.
- Click Browse, to the folder where you want to save macros, and click Select Folder.
[-]Level of details:
- Low: Minimum code
- High: code including intermediate steps
You can select default API language
Click Apply > Ok
Note: When you record macro then ‘DSAPI Macro Projects’ folder is created on path …\AppData\Roaming\DraftSight\11.1.xxx.
