Decide which alert type message you want to display from following.
Now based on alert mode write LISP code as below.
alert function format is (alert message [title [mode]])
Type i n Command line after : (default command line have ‘:’ symbol so start writing list command after it)
: (alert “This is my first alert Message.” “DraftSight alert” “INFORMATION”)
Note: Don’t copy and paste above code, it will give error message as font of this website is different. Type it in command line.

How to insert Comments in LISP files?
- Comments are useful and best practice while creating LISP file . Helpful for file creator and other also. We recommend to use comments extensively for easy understanding of code .
- For single line comment use a semicolon ;
- For multi-line comment use ;| [ Press SHIFT + \ to write ( |) ]
